note: This is not directed at people of color, this is for all the white folks who stand by and watch when racist violence is happening right in front of them. Its time to put the phone down. This was written after seeing the video footage of bart police murdering Oscar Grant at the bart station. He was face down on the ground with his hands behind him and a police officer on top of him and was shot in the back. at least 30 people observed from the train watching or with their phones out before letting the doors close and gliding away. We can't keep watching this happen. We need to INTERVENE BEFORE or AFTER if it's too late.
